Dexterity (DEX) represents a character's hand-eye coordination. It affects your character's ability to land blows consistently in combat, and factors into determining the maximum damage your character can inflict using a ranged weapon.
Dexterity, along with Strength, is a factor in the calculation used to determine the physical damage caused by the melee swing of a player character.
It is generally believed that Dexterity contributes to increasing the average damage per melee swing of a player character. For instance, at 100 DEX, a player's average damage per swing may be 250. Increasing one's DEX to 200 could result in that player's average damage per swing increasing to 350.
Dexterity does not contribute to the low end of the player's damage range, nor does it contribute to the maximum possible damage of one's melee swing.
Dexterity is also a modifier for the special abilities of many classes. The following tables provides an indicative sample of abilities modified by Dexterity.
|Alchemist||Eroding Mist||5||AC Debuff|
|Alchemist||Corroding Mist||5||AC Debuff|
|Alchemist||Consuming Mist||5||AC Debuff|
Dexterity is a power pool statistic for the following classes:
| Primary Attributes — STR • STA • AGI • DEX • WIS • INT • CHA |
Secondary Attributes — HP • Power • HoT • PoT • AC
Resistances — AR • CR • DR • FR • LR • PR
